I found my passion in women’s portrait photography so the natural progression was to boudoir portraiture. I ADORE photographing boudoir. I love the sensuality, the emotion, the lingerie. I cherish my job as someone who helps you reconnect with yourself, it’s incredibly fulfilling. Boudoir photography allows me to empower women and giving them permission to feel beautiful. There is just something amazing about watching a woman connect with herself, her femininity and her power.
When I’m not photographing boudoir sessions I am the Vice President of EmpowerMUSE, a women’s empowerment non profit in Charlotte. We teach workshops, facilitate aid and help connect women who need help and support with local organizations. When I say I’m all about women’s empowerment, I’m not joking! Supporting, encouraging, lifting up and empowering women is my life’s work. The non profit gives me a chance to give back to the community that I love so much and a chance to use my photography to continue to empower & support women. I’m also a community organizer for a local women’s networking group, The Charlotte Area Tweet Tarts.
I’m a total hippie free spirit at heart. I grew up on a huge dairy farm in rural Pennsylvania surrounded by cows and Amish farms. I’m happiest alone in the woods, wandering. I love taking off in a random direction from Charlotte and discovering parts of NC and SC that have been forgotten. Old houses and abandoned buildings make me happy. I love my sweet tea and biscuits too much to ever live up north again. I am a diehard Arsenal FC (soccer) fan. I go to the bar at 7:30am on a Saturday to watch matches. I’m a craft beer nerd and I worked on a vineyard in Italy in college.
